Jealous Needs You Continues...

We have taken the chance in between Christmas and New Year to prepare for the Jealous Needs You exhibition early in 2015. We have had over 30 artists who have all submitted works of 2-3 colour images which we have created beautiful screen printed editions of. We have been delighted, overwhelmed and thankful for the response to this project and we can't wait to show the full range of works in our Shoreditch gallery in February and Crouch End in March.

New Edition for Dave White Complete

Our lovely printer William recently completed an edition for Dave White.  The 37 colour edition with varnish and diamond dust overlays was one of the most challenging prints we have completed in the studio.  We were delighted with the result though and look forward to working with him again in the new year. Here are some pictures taken of edition and process in action.

Two Exciting Projects Leaving The Studio

This week we have had the pleasure to work on two exciting projects for major events launching in London in the coming week.  The first was a screen print for Hattie Stewart and Saatchi & Saatchi, for their exhibition There's A Good Girl that runs at the Assembly Rooms until the 19th December.  The edition of 50 was a two colour screen print on Real Silver 250 gsm paper.  There is also an interesting article about the show in the Independent Newspaper here.

The second series of works were for the launch of the third issue of Riposte Magazine.  Taking place at the Old White Cube Space on Hoxton Square, the digital prints on display were created in the studio using our Epsom Printers.  You can order a copy of the new publication here.

Caroline Bergvall for The Rhodes Project

In early 2013 we completed a very exciting project for artist Caroline Bergvall, the current Writer in Residence at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London.  In 2012 she was commissioned by the Rhodes Project in London to develop an art work celebrating the 1140 female Rhodes scholars. We helped realise the large 150 x 100 cm final work, screen printing and gold leafing on to Somerset Tub Sized paper. Swiss based graphic designer Pablo Lavalley helped conceptualise the idea for the design. This art work was presented in the course of the 110th celebration of the first Rhodes Scholarships in September 2013 at Rhodes House, Oxford.  Here are some pictures of the work taking shape.  Please take a look Caroline's website for further information about this project and other commissions she is currently completing.

Shok1 Print Edition

Artist Shok-1 has recently commissioned Jealous Print Studio to produce a new print for him. The edition of 150 is a digital inkjet archival print on Hahnemuhle 308gsm photo rag paper and is representative of a mural created in New York. The huge level of detail in the image shows the technical prowess of the artist with the fluorescent colours translating very successfully to paper.

Read more about the print here.
