We have taken the chance in between Christmas and New Year to prepare for the Jealous Needs You exhibition early in 2015. We have had over 30 artists who have all submitted works of 2-3 colour images which we have created beautiful screen printed editions of. We have been delighted, overwhelmed and thankful for the response to this project and we can't wait to show the full range of works in our Shoreditch gallery in February and Crouch End in March.

Our lovely printer William recently completed an edition for Dave White. The 37 colour edition with varnish and diamond dust overlays was one of the most challenging prints we have completed in the studio. We were delighted with the result though and look forward to working with him again in the new year. Here are some pictures taken of edition and process in action.

This week we have had the pleasure to work on two exciting projects for major events launching in London in the coming week. The first was a screen print for Hattie Stewart and Saatchi & Saatchi, for their exhibition There's A Good Girl that runs at the Assembly Rooms until the 19th December. The edition of 50 was a two colour screen print on Real Silver 250 gsm paper. There is also an interesting article about the show in the Independent Newspaper here.

In early 2013 we completed a very exciting project for artist Caroline Bergvall, the current Writer in Residence at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London. In 2012 she was commissioned by the Rhodes Project in London to develop an art work celebrating the 1140 female Rhodes scholars. We helped realise the large 150 x 100 cm final work, screen printing and gold leafing on to Somerset Tub Sized paper. Swiss based graphic designer Pablo Lavalley helped conceptualise the idea for the design. This art work was presented in the course of the 110th celebration of the first Rhodes Scholarships in September 2013 at Rhodes House, Oxford. Here are some pictures of the work taking shape. Please take a look Caroline's website for further information about this project and other commissions she is currently completing.

A digital inkjet print edition of 27 will be available at the exhibition and any purchases will come with a specially printed dollar bill. Check out Bran's blog post on the exhibition here.

Next week sees the launch of a new 10 colour screen print by Jealous favourite Rowan Newton. Both editions, one on greayboard and one on plywood, can be purchased from Thursday at the Moniker Art Fair, Truman Bewery. All prints are signed and numbered with the wooden edition finished with a wax seal by the artist. Above is sneak peak of the image which is yet to be seen by the public as well as some process shots showing the true grain acetate method and wax sealing in action.
Last week we had Dan Kitchener at Jealous Towers. He became the latest artist to paint our rooftop wall in part of an ongoing mural project which is open to submissions. We love Dan's style which shows technical brilliance in can control. Please email email@example.com if you would like to get involved in the project; we arrange for high quality photographs to be taken of the finished pieces for artists portfolios.

Artist Shok-1 has recently commissioned Jealous Print Studio to produce a new print for him. The edition of 150 is a digital inkjet archival print on Hahnemuhle 308gsm photo rag paper and is representative of a mural created in New York. The huge level of detail in the image shows the technical prowess of the artist with the fluorescent colours translating very successfully to paper.

It was great to collaborate with artist David Wightman on his new edition, shown above, which was launched by our Jealous Gallery this week. The four colour screen print on plywood is entitled 'C, 2014' and is an edition of 100. Each print becomes unique with the wood grain showing through the transparent inks and is available at a special launch price for a limited period. David's website can be found here and the prints are available to buy through Jealous here.
This week our Jealous Needs You project has continued and we have two more prints to present. These images by Elena and Ornamental Conifer were submitted and make for beautiful editions. Check out Elena's website here and a short interview with Nicolai Sclater, aka Ornamental Conifer here.
We aim to have approximately 25 prints for this project which will culminate in an exhibition at our new gallery space in Shoreditch. This project, headed by experienced printer and artist Jess Wilson, is still looking for submissions of 2 colour prints at 50x50 cm. Please send entries to firstname.lastname@example.org
