Toria Jaymes designs for The Late Night Salon

Last week we completed five one colour editions for The Late Night Salon. With artwork created by designer Toria Jaymes the framed prints were handed out as awards for a creative industry event organised by Twitter UK.

Pietro Lambert, Photographer

We have recently been working with Pietro Lambert, a photographer who wanted to use embellishments to enhance his work. We decided to go with an all over screen printed varnish overlay with a spot diamond dust, highlighting how the digital and screen processes can be combined to great effect.

Sophie Smallhorn in the Studio

Last week we had the fantastic Sophie Smallhorn in the studio working on more new editions which will feature in her solo exhibition in the New Year.  Here are some shots from her time with us.

Alison Mitchell in the Studio

Alison Mitchell has been in the studio this week in a very experimental capacity. She wanted to know if we could print with mud and we couldn't refuse the challenge! She brought in her printing material of choice from the Norfolk sea shore and we got to work printing it on to sheets of canvas laminated with copper leaf. We also produced some gold leaf prints on to carbon paper for good measure.

British Film Institute

We have recently completed an install for the British Film Institute which can be found in the foyer of their Southbank building. Entitled 'Intermission' the black panels were screen printed using gold liquid metal ink and were then clad on to the walls of the space. The imagery references the original theatre screen that can be seen behind Alfred Hithcock above but has since been removed.

Graphic Thought Facility Print Edition

We recently completed an edition for Graphic Though Facility who were commissioned by the National Theatre to produce the artwork commemorating their 50th year. The project began with members of GTF and the Jealous Print team taking crayon rubbings from the National Theatre walls, as the print was to be inspired by the fabric of the building. This was an 8 colour screen print with varnish glazes on Somerset Satin 300gsm paper.

Sophie Smallhorn in the Studio

Fresh from her Olympic Stadium commission we welcomed back Sophie Smallhorn in to the studio to work on two new editions.  Printed on Somerset Satin 300 gsm paper, they both consist of five colours which when overlaid create the illusion of many more. We will be working on five further editions with her over the coming months for her solo exhibition in 2014.
